Facilitator pool

In preparation

Running a Delphi panel is method work rather than the use of software. The pool is a service in preparation: an experienced facilitator can be commissioned to run a panel — and a facilitator can find commissions.

What the pool is

A list of facilitators who have run Delphi panels and who know this environment: the wording of theses, the building of a panel, the rhythm of the rounds and when a panel is finished. The client gets someone to run it, the facilitator gets a commission, and Metodix is responsible for both parties knowing what they agreed.

For an organisation

A panel is needed but nobody in the house has run one. The pool brings someone who has — on your licence or theirs.

For a facilitator

The skill exists but the commissions turn up by chance. The pool is where they turn up on purpose.

For a university

A doctoral researcher needs guidance in the method and not only in the software. The pool is a channel for that.

What is still undecided

These are open, which is why the pool is in preparation rather than open. They have to be settled before the first commission can be passed on — and views on any of them are welcome.

Who gets into the pool and on what criteria: is experience enough, is training required, who assesses it.

Who is responsible for quality if a commission goes wrong — Metodix as the broker, or the facilitator.

How it is priced: the facilitator's own rate, a fixed rate, or a Metodix commission.

Whether the pool is a brokerage or a directory. The difference is in liability, not in the layout of the page.

Register your interest

In both directions: a facilitator who wants in, or an organisation that needs someone to run a panel. Registering commits you to nothing — it tells us the service is wanted, and that is exactly the information that settles the open questions.
