Invite key informants to refine your query and panel
Before the actual theses, a Delphi Pronoia study can run Round 0: a short, informal conversation in which key informants describe in their own words how they see the phenomenon being studied. The conversation is led by the AI assistant Kastalia, named after the spring at the entrance to the sanctuary of Delphi, where every traveller paused to prepare before entering the temple.
Kastalia asks one thing at a time and follows up when needed. She does not assess the answers or tell anyone which view is right: the AI carries the material, the seeing is human work. From these conversations the facilitator gets material for finalising the phenomenon description, the theses and the panel before the first round.
New this week:
- Three ready-made question packages alongside the default set: A · Boundaries (Ulrich), B · Systemic nature (iceberg) and C · Purpose and actors (CATWOE). The facilitator picks a package and can edit the questions.
- A dedicated invitation letter template for Round 0. Recipients can be picked one by one.
Which package suits which situation, and how does Kastalia use the questions? Read more in the method library article Round 0 questions: three lenses for framing the phenomenon https://www.pronoia.fi/login?next=%2F%3Fhelp%3Dkierros0-kysymykset .
Round 0 is part of all four Delphi variations. Try it in your next panel!
